You're probably familiar with the terms fashion jewellery and fine jewellery and know the type of jewellery they represent but what about demi-fine jewellery?

Demi-fine is a term that was coined last year by the luxury retailer Net-A-Porter, when they launched a demi-fine jewellery category to their site. It was launched because they saw a noticeable rise in woman investing in affordable everyday luxury jewellery for themselves.

Demi-fine is a term used to describe jewellery that falls between fashion and fine. It’s contemporary, everyday jewellery that’s made from solid gold, sterling silver and semi and precious gemstones that’s available at an affordable price.

This is a term that could easily be used to describe our jewellery here at XISSJEWELLERY. When starting XISSJEWELLERY, we wanted to create a brand that sat seamlessly between fashion and fine jewellery that combined contemporary design with a relaxed, effortless, everyday style, with a relaxed luxury that offer’s the perfect excuse to wear gemstones every day.

We chose to work with 14ct gold for all our gold pieces, because it meant we could maintain a high standard of quality whilst keeping it as affordable as possible. And all our silver jewellery is made using sterling silver which means the silver won’t be worn away over time like plated jewellery, making it perfect to be worn every day.

So demi-fine, along with every day fine, is the perfect ways to describe our jewellery here at XISSJEWELLERY.
