TIPS & TRICKS

We pride ourselves on the quality and durability of our jewellery, although delicate each piece has been designed to last so we suggest you follow these tips and tricks to keep your jewellery looking brand new.

STERLING SILVER
All sterling silver will tarnish over time, but it happens much faster when it comes into contact with perfume and hairspray and other lotions and potions, so always put your silver jewellery on once you've finished getting ready. One way to keep your silver jewellery looking like new is to wear it and to wear it often, as the natural oils in your skin will help keep the silver from tarnishing.

14ct GOLD
Solid gold is one of the precious metals that will not oxidise or discolour, since it's the least reactive metal. The 14ct alloy gives our pieces their beautiful subtle hue, it's also an active lifestyles best friend as it scratches less, doesn't bend or wear out as easily as 18ct gold. But everything deserves some love, even something as strong as gold, so to maintain its beauty you can clean it with a soft cotton cloth and warm water.

PEARLS
Pearls should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off, so they avoid direct contact with all the chemicals found in perfumes and cosmetics.

GEMSTONES
Gemstones are not fans of water or chemicals, so we suggest you take them off before swimming and showering. They're also not fans of prolonged exposure to sunlight, so we'd suggest that when you're on holiday you keep your gemstones for the evenings and when you're not wearing them store them away from direct sunlight and heat.

DIAMONDS
Diamonds may be one of the hardest natural substances found on earth but they can still suffer from chips and small fractures from sharp blows and dropping them, so always try and look after them. To keep them bright and extra sparkly you can wash with warm soapy water, rinsing thoroughly and dry with a soft cotton cloth.

So, if you follow these few simple rules you can keep your jewellery looking brand new.

1. Always put your jewellery on last when getting ready.
2. Store your jewellery away from direct sunlight and heat in an airtight bag or box.
3. Avoid wearing your jewellery when swimming, showering and sleeping.
4. If possible, store your jewellery separately so they don't tangle, rub or scratch.
5. Wear and love your jewellery, don't leave it sitting in your jewellery box for too long.
